Our Work

To support the restoration of minobimaadziwin in communities by providing resources for the necessary cultural transformation through the ICD approach

Our Work

At the core of all our projects is the Integrated Community Development (ICD) Approach, a powerful framework for social innovation rooted in Indigenous wisdom and sustainable practices. This approach is the foundational philosophy that guides every initiative we undertake.

The ICD Approach centers on creating resilient, self-sustaining communities by integrating economic, social, and environmental solutions. The Integrated Community Development Approach has been described as a“framework for social innovation” by Anishinaabe “elder”Wendy Phillips. It’s a holistic, systems-based model that addresses the unique needs of each community while fostering long-term sustainability.

This philosophy is woven through every project we undertake, from economic initiatives to cultural revitalization, ensuring that each effort contributes to the broader vision of a just, sustainable, and thriving future for all.
